Opportunity

Westmount School offers an Opportunity program to support students living with a mild intellectual disability and significant academic delays. Programming emphasizes the development of literacy and numeracy skills, and the application of important academic, social, work, and life skills in the classroom, school, and community. The program fosters student independence.

The Opportunity class size at Westmount is smaller and accesses support from an Educational Assistant.  Students in the Opportunity classroom may work on a modified or adapted Alberta curriculum or may challenge the Alberta Knowledge and Employability curriculum.  If you would like more information about this program, please contact the school.
